Production carried out at the Basque Bio Design Center. This series represents a temporary encounter between the archival records of the industrial past of the Bizkaia region (Basque Country) and its present of sustainable development, design, and research of new materials.

Images from old postcards were screen-printed onto surfaces of bioplastics: mixtures of glycerin, gelatin, and water. They were then colored with onion extract, which gives them their sepia color, and vegetable charcoal in reference to the mining development of the area.

Ceramics: Print 3D
An open-pit mine and brick chimneys were reinterpreted through manual drawing first and then in Rhinoceros and Grasshopper software to be printed on a delta 3D printer. Production was carried out at the Basque Bio Design Center. It's a representation at scale of architectural remains from the industrial mining past in the Enkarterri area, Basque Country.
CNC Design
Photogrammetry carried out with a drone captures images of the terrain to create a topographic mesh, which was then drawn with a laser on acrylic and wood. This laser cutting technology was also used to draw on paper, adjusting its intensity.
