Semana Profesional del Arte en Oviedo
Fábrica de Armas de la Vega
Production carried out at the Basque Bio Design Center. This series is a temporary encounter between the archive of the industrial past of the Bizkaia region (Basque Country) and its present of sustainable development, design, and research of new materials. Images from old postcards were screen-printed onto surfaces of bioplastics: mixtures of glycerin, gelatin, and water. They were then colored with onion extract, which gives them their sepia tone, and vegetable charcoal in reference to the mining development of the area.
Asturias - 1-11.06.2023
